Artikel yang dimuat dapat berbahasa Indonesia atau bahasa Inggris.</p> Pendidikan Biologi STKIP YPM Bangko en-US BIOCOLONY 2656-954X ANALISIS TINGKAT CEMARAN BAKTERI COLIFORM DI SUNGAI BATANG MASUMAI KABUPATEN MERANGIN http://journal.stkipypmbangko.ac.id/index.php/biocolony/article/view/329 <p>This research is done bucause of the incidence of diarrhea at Batang Masumai District last two years on &nbsp;2017. &nbsp;There were 159 &nbsp;males&nbsp; and 152 female got diarrhea sufferers. Whereas, on 2018 264 people got diarrheae a and &nbsp;the total was high. In that year, there were 179 children &nbsp;got diarrhea. The purpose of this study was to determine and describe the level of contamination of &nbsp;<em>Coliform</em> bacteria at the Batang Masumai river. The type of the research was experimental research with a quantitative approach. This research was carried out in a biological laboratory with 3 stages. The first stage is water sampling at four parts. The second stage is microbiological analysis (estimator test, assertion test, complementary test). In the estimator test, the Lactose Broth (LB) media is put into a test tube that has been filled with durham tubes as much as 3 tubes, incubated 2x24 hours, and marked with the formation of gas bubbles . In the assertion test, the Briliant Green Lactose Broth (BGLB) media was put into a test tube that had been filled with durham tubes, 1-2 ose suspensions from (positive test) positive were inoculated into a tube containing the media, incubated 2x24 hours and marked with the formation gas. The number of Coliform bacteria in the affirmation test was calculated based on the MPN method. Furthermore, one positive media in the (affirmation test) was inoculated as much as 1 ose into the EosineMetilene Blue (EMB) media so that in the petri dish, it was incubated 2x24 hours, if the colony grew with green metallic characteristics followed by gram staining. Physically tested water samples to analyze temperature. Chemical water sample testing to analyze pH. The third stage is the data analysis stage. Lamtoro leaf has potential as a liquid organic fertilizer. This study aims to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer from lamtoro leaves on the growth of ground water spinach plant and determine the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer from lamtoro leaves that provide the best results on the growth of ground water spinach plant. This research uses a completely randomized design (CRD) of one factor, consisting of 6 treatments namely P0 (0%), P1 (5%), P2 (10%), P3 (15%), P4 (20%), P5 (25%), with 4 replications. The parameters of this study were plant height, number of leaves, leaf serface area and root length. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance and continued with Duncan multiple range test (DMRT) at 5% level. The results showed that liquid organic fertilizer from lamtoro leaves had a significant effect on the number of leaves and root length, but did not have a significant effect on plant height and leaf surface area of ground water spinach plants. Liquid organic fertilizer from lamtoro leaves with a concentration of 5% gives the best results on the number of leaves, and a concentration of 10% gives the best results on the root length of the ground water spinach plants.</p> Widia Putri Febriani Copyright (c) 2020 BIOCOLONY 2020-06-05 2020-06-05 3 1 10 18 PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN SPICS (Student Centered, Problem Based, Interest, Confident and Satisfaction) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA TERPADU SISWA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 7 MERANGIN TAHUN PELAJARAN 2019/2020 http://journal.stkipypmbangko.ac.id/index.php/biocolony/article/view/331 <p>Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh hasil belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran IPA Terpadu SMP Negeri 7Merangin yang sebagian besar siswanya masih dibawah KKM yang di tentukan oleh sekolah. Tujuan dari penelitian yaitu untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA Terpadu siswa kelas VIIISMP Negeri 7Merangin dengan penerapan model pembelajaran SPICS, pada siswa kelas VIIISMP Negeri 7Merangin tahun pelajaran 2019/2020. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas, dimana subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII BSMP Negeri 7Merangin yang berjumlah 27 orang, sedangkan objek pada penelitian ini adalah ModelPembelajaran SPICS. Prosedur dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan evaluasi serta refleksi. Alat pengumpulan data berupa lembar observasi aktifitas siswa dan guru dan lembar soal tes evaluasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di dapatkan pada siklus I rata-rata nilai tes siklus 76,56dengan persentase ketuntasan74%, pada siklus II didapat bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar peserta difik meningkat menjadi 84,4. Hal inimenunjukkanbahwa 89% peserta didik telah mendapatkan nilai tuntas, artinya penelitian tindakan pada siklus II telah mencapai target minimal pencapaian 80% siswa mencapai KKM. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran SPICS, dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi struktur dan fungsi tumbuhan kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 7 Merangin tahun pelajaran 2019/2020.</p> Rino Angga Dwi Prasetyo Copyright (c) 2020 BIOCOLONY 2020-06-05 2020-06-05 3 1 19 24 Keanekaragaman Jenis Ikan (Cypriniformes: Cyprinidae) di Sungai Batang Tembesi Kabupaten Merangin http://journal.stkipypmbangko.ac.id/index.php/biocolony/article/view/332 <p>Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum adanya data mengenai keanekaragaman jenis ikan di Sungai Batang Tembesi Kabupaten Merangin. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis ikan family cyprinidae dan bagaimanakah keanekaragaman jenis ikan famili cyprinidae di Sungai Batang Tembesi Kabupaten Merangin. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus 2019, yang dilakukan dalam tiga tahapan. Tahap pertama yaitu tahap pengoleksian sampel yang dilakukan di Sungai Batang Tembesi Kabupaten Merangin dengan membagi lokasi penelitian menjadi 3 stasiun. Penentuan stasiun dilakukan menggunakan teknik <em>Purposive Sampling </em>yaitu, peneliti menyesuaikan lokasi dengan karakteristik tempat hidup ikan.Pengoleksian sampel ikan dilakukan dengan menggunakan 3 alat tangkap, yaitu alat tangkap jala, alat tangkap jaring <em>(Gill nett)</em>, dan alat tangkap pancing. Tahap kedua yaitu tahap identifikasi ikan yang dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Biologi STKIP YPM mengunakan buku <em>Ikan Air Tawar di Ekosistem Bukit Tiga Puluh </em>(Sukmono dkk, 2017)<em>, Fishes of the world </em>(Nelson, 2016)dan<em> Fishes of The Cambodian Mekong </em>(Rainboth, 1996) dan jurnal-jurnal terkait. Tahap ketiga adalah tahap analisis data.Sampel yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan rumus indeks keragaman Shannon-Wiener (H’), indeks kekayaan jenis (DMg), dan indeks kemerataan spesies (E). Hasil penelitian yaitu tercatat 173 individu ikan (Cyprinidae) yang termasuk ke dalam 2 subfamili, yaitu Cyprininnae dan Danioinae, serta terdiri dari 9 genus yaitu <em>Barbodes, Epalzeorhynchos,Hampala, Mystacoleucus, Tor, Schismatorhynchus, Labocheilos,Crossocheilus</em>, dan <em>Rasbora.</em> Tergolong ke dalam 10 spesies ikan yaitu <em>Barbades binotatus, Barbades lateristriga, Epalzeorhynches kalopterus, Hampala macrolepidota, Mystacoleucus marginatus, Tor sora, Schismatorhynchus heterorhynchus, Labocheilos falcifer, Crossocheilus cobitis, </em>dan <em>Rosbora elegans</em>.,. Hasil analisis data nilai indeks keragaman Shannon-Wiener (H’) adalah 1,9023 (kriteria sedang), indeks kekayaan jenis (DMg) adalah 1,7464 (kriteria rendah), dan indeks kemerataan spesies (E) adalah 0,6341(kriteria stabil).</p> Papario Anggara Copyright (c) 2020 BIOCOLONY 2020-06-05 2020-06-05 3 1 25 38 PENGEMBANGAN BUKU SAKU BIOLOGI BERORIENTASI MODEL INQUIRY TERBIMBING PADA MATERI SISTEM PENCERNAAN MAKANAN UNTUK SISWA SMA/MA KELAS XI http://journal.stkipypmbangko.ac.id/index.php/biocolony/article/view/333 <p><em>This research is motivated by the still limited learning resources in SMA Negeri 7 such as: students' handbooks are limited to teacher's handbooks, books are not enough library for students to share, books can be borrowed, the borrowing time limit is only three days. Still economical use of media in learning so that the delivery of teaching materials is less attractive, teachers have not yet developed teaching materials that make pocket books. students who have learning resources consist of worksheets and text books / book packages that are obtained from the source as a source of student learning. This research is a development research that uses a 4-D model that is equipped with defining, defining, designing, and developing. In this study there were 5 validators with research subjects consisting of 34 students of class XI of SMA N 7 Merangin. This research instrument uses a questionnaire of validity and practicality questionnaire. The research data is the result of the validation and practicality of a pocket book, then analyzed with descriptive analysis. Based on the results of this study, this resulted in a product consisting of a pocket book oriented to the model, guided inquiry. The Guided Biology Pocket Book Model Guided Questions generated were declared to be very valid by the validator with the percentage of validity obtained that was 89%. The resulting Biology Handbook has also proven to be very practical by teachers and students with an average grade of 3.60 results from teacher assessments and 3.66 results that can be seen by students.
