In this paper, based on the researcher observation, the researcher found the students’ language lessons on practical speaking ability is not successful because the students are not interested in English language. Students embarrassed when told to speak in front of the class, Look for ongoing learning processes of students not paying attention to the teacher and then the Time Token Model has never been used. Through this researcher, the researcher wanted to describe the improvement of students speaking ability by Time Token Model at eighth grade of SMP N 52 Merangin academic year 2018/2019. The kind of this research was classroom action research. The researcher had been conducted at eighth grade of SMP N 52 Merangin academic year 2018/2019. The subject of this research was the students at eighth grade. It was consisted of 11 students. In this research the researcher conducted the English learning in speaking ability, which one this object is to get things done. The researcher did the research in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of two meetings. Each meeting has equal to 2×40 minutes. In this research the researcher used the spoken test to knowing the students progress. The result learning of pre test showed that no one students reach KKM. In cycle I there were 5 students or 46%students reach KKM. And cycle II there were 7 students or 63% in reach KKM and then Post Test there were 8 students or 72%. So, the researcher concluded that the using of Time Token Model was able to improved students’ speaking ability at eighth grade SMP N 52 Merangin academic year 2018/2019. Then, based on this research, the researcher suggested to the teacher to be enjoy in speaking to improvement of speaking ability.
